How to care for your jewelry:
It doesn’t matter what the quality of your jewelry is, with time and continuous wear, your jewelry may fade or tarnish. In order to keep your jewelry in good condition, here are some steps to keep in mind:
-Do not wear jewelry while in a pool, hot tub or bathing. The chlorine in the water can damage the surface area as well as gemstones.
-Try to not to wear your jewelry while doing any type of activity that will scratch the surface.
-Do not store your jewelry in direct sunlight and try to store it so that it does not come into contact with other jewelry.
-Avoid applying hairspray or makeup while wearing jewelry. The chemicals and compounds may cause tarnish.
-After each wear, gently wipe each piece of jewelry clean with a clean cloth.
Gold Plating is a method of depositing a layer of genuine gold onto the surface of metal, like brass or silver, through an electrochemical process. Care should be taken when cleaning gold plated jewellery to protect the layer of gold from being worn away. Do not use abrasive compounds to wipe your gold plated jewelry.
